There is a washing machine and dryer in the basement that work!!! I'm fairly certain that the washing machine leaks, but it's not an issue because it's in the basement.
Very happy with Bramwell ATV resort...
The basement bathroom has been tiled for the shower are, which includes a sink and sewer pipes IN THE SHOWER. We were told the the "house is old", so the bathroom floor floods when it rains. I'm not certain that this should be an excuse for 2" of standing water. It appears that they have tried to make this inviting with the slate tile shower and a cute little shelf and mirror on the opposite wall from the shower. Evidently you need to be 6 feet tall to see yourself in the mirror.
The landlords are trying to update the property..... evidently a little bit at the time. They have painted and changed out some artwork for something more rustic.
The kitchen came fully equipped with pots and pans. The largest pot had been abused previously, and had a scorched bottom. The larger frying pan was warped. We had ants. Evidently "because of the rain". Either way. We washed everything before and after using it. Again. I tried and failed at mopping.
My husband, myself, and some family members had the opportunity to stay at the Sowers house. I can say that I loved the location, and that the people that own the home were prompt when we called about the water leaking from the refrigerator. It is possible that the water leaked because the door doesn't always close completely. When the landlord came to check on the leak he brought his own mop, "because the one on property is horrible". His words, not mine. I agree wholeheartedly! I TRIED to mop the kitchen the first night. It was not something I would do again.
There are two bathrooms. The one upstairs has been painted with a fairly new vanity, new shower curtain, and rug.
The carpet is vintage 70s. It feels and looks horrible. Shoes on at all times is a must!! The den furniture is also vintage 70s. When you sit on the couch, you sink almost to the floor. I have no idea of when it was last cleaned.
While we were there, we fixed the four in the screened porch. If you go through the one on the front porch... walk fast. It slams shut, quickly. We fixed the leak under the sink. One of the pipes came loose.
Busted ATV resort is an older facility, but has been renovated nicely. They have put thought into their updates. I suggest to these owners that they try a little harder and at least act as they're concerned when renters express their issues.
The outside area is gravel and SHARED with the house next door. Therefore making it impossible to use the lock on the " secured" area. There is a nice hose, that allows rinsing of the machines. The outside trash can was not emptied prior to our arrival. We had to leave several bags of trash and boxes on top of or beside the trash can.
Great price, staff and location. Repeat customer here!
The beds were as promised, but had plastic protectors, so it felt hot and sounded horrible when moving on the bed. The sheets were possibly new and were mostly polyester, so again causing an uncomfortable condition to sleep in. I'm not asking for silk, just something that breathes, like cotton, or a blend.
It is awesome and they have very comfortable beds and good rooms
We have stayed in Bramwell several times, both in an older home and in a hotel/motel setting. Never have I had such an experience, and response to my concerns.
